Terms and Conditions

ORDERING

 All ordering is hosted  through Paypal which is a secure system.  To order an item simply click on the ‘add to cart’ button.  Your selected item will then be placed in your shopping cart.   By selecting additional items your shopping cart will be added to until you wish to submit your order by pressing the checkout button. All prices quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) inclusive of VAT.

PAYMENT

All payment is through Paypal. Simply follow the instructions given on the screen.      Please ensure that all your details are correct - always best to recheck before submitting your payment details.  Postal rates are determined by value of goods ordered and will be calculated at checkout.  If you have an existing Paypal account this can be used or if you wish to set up a Paypal account follow the instructions given.   Having a Paypal account will speed up the order process considerably.  Payment details in regard to postage is given at the end for those in the UK. 

We do not accept cheques.

 International customers  - all prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP).  Payment is through Paypal and  your card issuer will convert your order total into your local currency at the daily rate and you may incur a small charge for this.

DELIVERY

 Delivery provider used is at our discretion - our preferred delivery system is with Royal Mail to contact address allowing for payment to be cleared.  This will normally be 24 hours for Paypal.    We will e mail you (if we have your e mail address) when your order is despatched giving you the order number.   All orders are despatched as soon as possible, but should an item become out of stock we will delay the order until completed and e mail you if this situation arises.   We will contact you further and take your instructions if it appears that an ordered item will be unavailable for some time from stockists and we will make a refund where appropriate.

We cannot be held responsible for non-arrival of posted goods due to:  the delivery agent or incorrect delivery information being provided therefore please ensure that you have correctly written your delivery address prior to sending it to us.   All deliveries are sent to the contact address for reasons of security. Hooded Cat maintains records of all items despatched and will not be held responsible for delivery failure through delivery agent or customer error.  For regular established customers we will offer a gift delivery service to other addresses where specified in UK- through prior agreement only with Hooded Cat.

International Customers -  Orders over 2kg will be sent by surface rate.

SECURITY

Paypal is a secure ordering system and it is our preferred system chosen for your security benefit as well as ours. By placing an order with us you agree to our terms and conditions which have been made in respect for our customers and Hooded Cat (Goth Cat). We reserve the right to refuse service where applicable.

Privacy - we do not disclose buyers’ information to any third party other than through Paypal which is a secure system (in accordance with UK Data Protection Act 1998).  Information provided by our customers is used for the use of processing customer orders. Obviously  name and address will be placed on delivery packages.    Our web host 1 & 1 is a secure host and will monitor visitors to the site - this will not infringe your security as a customer.

RETURNS POLICY

Ordered items are all checked prior to despatching to ensure they are not faulty or damaged in anyway.   All ordered items are despatched using appropriate packaging and we cannot take responsibility for damaged goods once they have left our premises due to the delivery system.   If you wish to return an item, please E-Mail us with details of the item, order number and reason for returning.   The item must be returned within seven working days starting from the date of e mail agreement for its return - we will only accept returns on this basis - the return postage costs are payable by you and requires ‘proof of posting’ and it must be sent in appropriate packaging with the invoice- once received back the agreed refund will be made to contact address.  You will be charged for any new delivery made.   We cannot give a refund on items after  28 days or damaged items not notified within 7 working days.

 HYGIENE – Any intrusive jewellery such as ear rings purchased cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.   You may cancel your order at any time prior to despatch.

DESCRIPTIONS

We aim to ensure that all descriptions and sizes given are as accurate as possible however there may be slight variation between some manufactured items, colours and natural items.  If you are dis-satisfied with an item for this reason you can return the item (see returns policy).

ACCESS TO HOODED CAT WEB SITE

There may be occasions due to no fault of Hooded Cat or for other maintenance reason that the web site is disrupted.  We endeavour to keep our site going 24 hours a day.    We make regular checks on our site to ensure it is free of unsolicited material and viruses. We will not be held liable for any person or persons introducing software viruses or any other unsolicited import. Our potential customers and customers have limited licence to visit our site using it at their sole risk.    Licence does not include any misuse, commercial use or copying of any materials. You may not make any unlawful additions such as meta tags or hidden text using our site . You must not without formal written consent use our site to make exploitations for commercial use. Should any person or persons misuse this site such as under false pretences or exploit any aspect of the throughput process for unlawful means Hooded Cat will refer any suspected actions to the appropriate authorities.

We reserve the right to alter and amend our terms and conditions as appropriate.
